A few years ago 90 percent of four door cars made could accomodate a scooter in the trunk of their cars. Today only 5% of vehicles can be used with a trunk lift. Most mini-vans and SUV's can accommodate scooter lifts.
A new trend is towards outside lifts which can be used with any vehicle that can handle a class II or class III square hitch.
Before selecting a lift, try to look ahead and determine if the equipment you are using today will be functional for the next five years. I have seen many people buy a car and a scooter, and after a few years, require a powered wheelchair, which cannot be transported in an automobile.
Before making any decision, find a supplier you can trust and work with them. You may pay a few more bucks, but they will be well worth it. Look below for a few of the lift manufacturers.
