The VA is the second largest purchaser of Medical Equipment in the United States, behind Medicare.  The VA offers equipment and services to it's disabled veterans.  The equipment is usually approved through the prosthetic department, or through a seating committee.  In order to receive new equipment, a vet must contact their local VA hospital or outpatient center.
